Decree 43 - 2016

Cairo –Alyafi IP Group - The ministry of trade and industry issued decree 43-2016 concerning the creation of a record at the GOEIC (General Organization for Export and Import Control) for all factories and companies that export specific products to The Arabic republic of Egypt.

Should a trademark owner, or a factory fail to register at the GOEIC, the imported products will not be released from customs.

The decree was published on 16-Jan-16, and will be effective from 16-Mar-16.

Refractory bricks, blocks, tiles for household use.

Preserved and dried fruits for retail sale.

Tableware glass articles.

Oils and fats for retail sale.

Iron and steel bars and rods.

Sugar confectionary

Household electrical appliances

Chocolates and food products containing coca

Home and office furniture.

Pastas and prepared food from cereals and bread products and pastries.

Bicycles, motorcycles and those with auxiliary motors.

Fruit juices


Natural and mineral water and aerated water.

Lighting equipment for household use.

Beauty and make-up products, preparations for oral or dental hygiene, personal deodorants and antiperspirants, and perfumed preparation.


Soap and washing preparation used as soap put up for retail.

Textiles, clothing, carpets. blankets, furnishing fabrics.

Cutlery and kitchen utensils.

Floor coverings.

Baths, shower-baths, sinks, wash-basins, bidets, lavatory pans, seats and covers.


Toilet Paper and similar paper, babies and sanitary napkins.
