Alyafi IP Group would like to inform our valued clients and stakeholders of an important update from the Trademarks’ Office in Sanaa, Yemen.
The Yemeni Trademark Office has issued an update regarding Decision No. 56/1446-2024, which specifically impacts US and Swedish trademark applicants. As per the latest ruling:
- Renewals: American and Swedish companies are now permitted to renew their trademarks in Yemen.
- Previous Registrations: No further actions can be taken on trademarks that have been previously registered.
- New Registrations and Filings: All new trademark registrations and filings will continue to be considered cancelled and will not proceed to registration.
