On 04-Mar-22, The UAE Ministry of Economy has launched the “International Trademark Registration Application Service” – the Madrid Protocol – through the trademarks e-services portal. However, if you want to register an international application in which the UAE is the country of origin, you must submit a local application at the Trademark Office in UAE first.
The timeframe of the service around 12 to 18 months from the date of receipt of the application by the designated countries.
