The Trademark office in the UAE has added new services to their platform, and below is the new services:
– Submitting the POA after filing.
– Submitting the priority documents after filing.
– Applying for a cancellation as per article 20(a).
This means that we now are able to submit a filing of trademarks without the pre-requisite of the POA and/or the priority document upon filing. The formalities and details on how this will be governed and applied is still unclear and has not been communicated. As soon as further visibility is provided, whether by official decree, or update in local laws we will update you.
