Starting 9 July 2026, Algeria will officially implement the Hague Apostille Convention, following its accession on 5 November 2025.
This long-awaited development will simplify the authentication of documents for use in Algeria, allowing applicants to obtain a single Apostille certificate instead of going through the traditional consular legalization process.
While the Convention’s entry into force is confirmed, stakeholders are currently awaiting official guidance from the National Algerian Office for Industrial Property (I.N.A.P.I.) on the practical acceptance and processing of apostilled documents.
Further updates will be shared as soon as additional details become available.
