Lebanon adopts new amendments made to the Nice Convention (International classification of goods and services) in its thirteenth version, 2026 edition

The Trademark Office at the Ministry of Economy and Trade in Lebanon has recently adopted the amendments made to the Nice Convention in its thirteenth version,2026 edition.

Under the new system:

The amendments in the thirteenth edition of the Nice convention on the Classification of Goods and Services are considered when conducting research and due diligence in selecting the classification of goods and services in applications from stakeholders. This decision shall enter into force on 27-January-26.
